October was a big month. Filled with reflection, planning, and plenty of behind-the-scenes wins, it reminded me yet again that success doesn’t happen by accident, it happens by design.

For Studio Talent Collective, this month was about showing up and celebrating the incredible talent we’re privileged to represent.

*CHICKEN IN THE POOL...

Let me be honest, showing up isn’t always easy for me. Today, for instance, was day one back from a weekend away with the family. We stayed at a caravan-style holiday venue on the Central Coast of NSW. I didn’t “tent it”. I booked a cabin with a dishwasher, but still.

I spent the whole time watching the kids in the pool because I wasn’t brave enough to join due to the sheer volume of children screaming and jumping in. Not the vibe I was after.

And then there was the lovely family feeding their kids chicken and rice on plates with cutlery in the pool, which then turned into salad wraps. In the pool. With the water hitting the bread. Ew!!

So yes, today I’m tired. But I showed up, to my 8am accountability call with my business lady friends, put on some powder and lip gloss, and filmed the video above. It’s not perfect, but showing up never is.

*OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS!

 From first-timers stepping nervously into the spotlight to seasoned pros owning it, our artists proved once again that preparation, passion, and persistence pay off.

• With 67 auditions (yes that's right)... and 7 paid gigs booked for the Talent Agency.

Every audition, booking, and performance is a story of courage and commitment.

Watching these artists grow and shine has been a highlight of my month. I especially love the commitment of our studio partners in supporting their students to achieve these incredible results. Well done!

Behind the Scenes: Building Community and Opportunity

October wasn’t just about individual wins. It was about creating opportunities, supporting studios, and nurturing growth across our collective.

Three studio photoshoots across Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra gave partner studios and artists fresh ways to showcase their talent.

Our talent agency now proudly represents 476 artists, each contributing to a vibrant and supportive community.

And the big news, I announced The Greenroom, our new virtual community for studio owners and performing arts leaders. It’s a space to share knowledge, celebrate wins, and inspire collaboration.

These moments remind me why I do this work - seeing growth, celebrating success, and fostering a space where artists and studio owners can thrive together.

Looking Ahead: Planning for Success

As the year winds down, it’s a time to pause and plan. Reflection is critical, what went well, what could improve, and where do you want to focus next?

October has shown me the power of showing up, supporting others, and intentionally designing your path forward. With each audition, booking, and collaboration, we’re not just reacting, we’re shaping the story of the year ahead.

Every studio owner knows that the next big success starts with planning today, not tomorrow. As we move into the end-of-year concert season, take a moment to celebrate wins, reflect honestly, and dream big for 2026.
