In isolation (and life in general), it is important to find a shining moment in every day to keep us going. Even when it seems bleak. Here is day 1 of my 7 day #ShiningMoment challenge.
As my wise 5yr old daughter would say, “N.O spells NO”.
So hubby and I made a guilt driven decision over the weekend, on how we would parent better during isolation. The plan includes scheduled activities such as home learning, craft, music, games, walks and overall, higher levels of engagement. Sounds awesome right? 👌🏻👏🏼
This new way of iso living was scheduled to start today. Monday is after-all a great day to start your new life no matter who you are! So here we are on day one and I can honestly say it’s all out the window.
In fact, the new awesome plan was postponed (until tomorrow), before we even hit 9am this morning.
Some might say this is not a shining moment. This is a failure! I’m spinning this thought on its head, because success is in the eye of the beholder... Right? Right!
I’m saying NO to the schedule today. 🙅🏻♀️ I’m saying “stop putting so much pressure on myself and to hell with the schedule”. Hurrah!
However, I am saying yes to self love and self compassion. 💕 Be gone schedule... you have no power here!
Let’s try this again tomorrow ⭐️
